New Designs

I haven't posted in far too long and probably wont be able to again for quite some time unless I actually slow down and find time to actually find out what is happening in the world of fashion and beyond. :)
But I wanted to share some of my work with you that I've started to post on RedBubble and Society6

They're just a couple of old pictures and designs that have been gathering dust on my computer so thought i'd try and share them with the world and see if anyone else liked them.

Hopefully I'll have a bit more time to take some more pictures or maybe post while i'm away at the end of January. 2012 has come and gone far too quickly.
Here's to an amazing 2013!

Friday Photo: Paris

Before I went away I was really looking forward to going to Paris as I thought it would be a great photo oppertunity. However the weather was shockingly cold (so much so I could not feel my hands or feet the whole trip) and really gloomy.
So I literally took next to nothing photo wise. But I really enjoyed visiting the Louvre (though I would definitely recommend visiting the museum over two days as there is so much to see it was overwhelming).
I would love to go back in the Summer when the whether is better and take loads of pics of the parisian restaurants and art deco architecture, speak french (after learning the language first) and pretend i'm back in the 1920's :). Au Revoir.

Photo Friday: New york

Promise no more pictures from New York (though I took thousands).

I can't believe how long ago it feels since we went. Actually can't believe how quickly the month of December came and went and how we're now firmly in January.
I'm quite excited though as a week friday i'm off to Paris for a couple of days (a late birthday present) so even more opportunity to take zillions of pictures and hopefully buy loads of vintage wear which I don't need or have the space for but whatever, it's unique (little justification to myself).

So for now farewell lady liberty hopefully it won't be too long before i'm back again….

Photo Friday - More New York

Here's a few more pictures from my recent trip to New York where we visited Radio city to watch the Rockettes.  I've seen the Rockettes mentioned in movies and on TV and the show always looked spectacular and this year we finally got to go watch them in action.

Radio City is amazing and perfectly retro (which suits me to a tee). It reminds me of some vintage cinema with its neon lights and Art Deco interior.
The show itself consisted of 32 female dancers who pretty much dance non stop through an hour and a half of festive themed songs.

This year was the first year to introduce 3D elements and I would say overall they worked pretty well.
For me though my favourite bit besides the awesome dancing would be the costumes.

If you happen to live or visit New York around Christmas I would definitely recommend going to Radio City to get you in the festive mood.

Photo Friday

One thing I love about American's is their enthusiasm for holiday's.
I'd love to experience a true american thanksgiving and watch the parade or go trick or treating (it's not the same in the UK). One of the holiday's that they truly go all out on is Christmas. Obviously in the UK we try too but it just doesn't feel the same.
When I was in America I saw some amazing christmas decorations. Everything looked amazing and festive. I walked one block and saw about 20 christmas trees ranging from traditional to bright and colourful. Though, none can beat the one at the rockerfeller centre.

At radio city theatre and Macy's they had huge tree's made of lights which was so hard to capture in a picture but they were truly stunning. Makes my poor little christmas tree pale in comparison.
Still cute though.

Photo Friday

This is a little collage I made after my last trip to New York two years ago. It was ridiculously hot and humid which made a trip to Coney Island an essential out of the city spot.
I loved it so much, it was like stepping back in time with the perfect weather, the wooden cyclone and retro shop fronts. As we're going back next week, unfortunately Coney Island wont be open but there's a million and one amazing things to do equally in the winter months. So I'm sure there's going to be loads of New York themed posts to come.
